Our Mission
Calvary Baptist Church is local body of believers who on mission with Jesus to share the Gospel with all people.
We seek to Love God and Love Others as Jesus did and commanded (Mark 12:20-31) in order to go and make disciples of all peoples (Matthew 28:19-20) for the glory of God.
We believe that people learn how to love God and love others well through a four step discipleship process.
- To Love God we must first come to Know God and engage in a loving relationships with Him.
- To Love God we must also Grow in God to learn how to love Him well and follow Him as our Savior and Lord.
- To Love Others we must Serve the Church by loving and serving our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
- To Love Others we must also Serve the World by loving and serving our Community, City, and the people in our everyday lives.
In order for this mission to be effective and fulfilled it cannot simply be a temporary campaign, but rather has to be a continual culture in which we live and work everyday. We must always be on mission with God and on mission for God by investing in relationships and inviting our lost friends first to Jesus, and then into the local church body.
The best way to discern whether you are on mission with God is to ask yourself, "What lost person calls me friend?"
